BeeswaX, you and your team are doing an amazing job. I am enrolled in college for Game Art and Design, so you are doing what I am studying to do for the rest of my life and even better you take a game with amazing freedom and turn it into a zombie game. I have been on a search for a decent zombie game that isn't on ps2. I tried Omar's Oyster Outing and the 3dish version of that game, Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddlers Green, Dead Rising and others. Ive been reading up on your progress last night before I went to work and decided I would try the beta to see just how awesome this is. So, before I left for work, I picked up GTA:SA and installed. I successfully replaced all the files as was specified by the readme but I would load a new game and the loading screen would freeze at 50%. I figured I did it wrong somehow and I uninstalled/re-installed the game and tried again but the same thing happened again. I figured I need to patch it to 1.01 and when I try that the updater wouldn't recognize the .exe as the valid one. Maybe you or someone in the forums can shed some light for me. I tried on both my desktop and laptop, the desktop's OS is XP and the laptop is Vista, I tried to run as Admin with no avail. I don't want to give up on the experience of this mod and would love to take part in this.

no idea how it happened, you really sure you did everything you had to do, like putting the 1.dff and txd and the others in the gta3 img with img tool ? _________________

This is just a thought i'm pullin this one outta my butt but are you sure you have GTA:SA v1 and not the newer GTA:SA v2 that is out again not sure if this mod works with v2 but it's just a thought try a downgrader patch. Also on a side note if your using img tool 2.0 don't forget to hit rebuild

Okay, I thought I applied the .txd and .dff to the .img properly but I checked again and they were not there, Thanks TheRedfield, I never hit rebuild the first time. I re-did the files for the 4th time now, and still I have the same problem. My disk is the second edition so I'll search for a first edition of the game and see how this works.

http://grandtheftauto.filefront.com/file/GTA_SA_Downgrader_Patch;74661 you can just try the downgrader patch if your thinking of buying a whole new game or torrenting one will take a while
